Hand-drawn diagrams from .excalidraw scene files (Figure 1, Figure 2). The scene is a JSON document describing every stroke, shape, and label — which is exactly what makes it work here: it diffs cleanly in pull requests, merges like any other source file, and can be edited by anyone at excalidraw.com or in the VS Code extension without any export step afterward. The hand-drawn Virgil lettering and rough strokes are reproduced faithfully because rendering uses Excalidraw’s own export code, with fonts embedded in the output. Click any figure to zoom.
